Dušan Gabrijelčič and Davud Topalović from the Jožef Stefan Institute presented the INDEPENDENT project at the “Workshop on Digital Twins for the Energy Transition”, organised by the GOTOTWIN project on 3 December 2025 at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The GOTOTWIN project, “Advancing Renewable Energy in the Adriatic–Ionian Region through the Use of Digital Twins”, aims to strengthen the adoption and integration of renewable energy sources across the region by leveraging digital twin technologies.
During the workshop, the presenters outlined the work being carried out within the INDEPENDENT project, providing an overview of its objectives and highlighting results related to the development of digital twins for residential heat pumps to optimise their function and flexibility.
The GOTOTWIN project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Adrion programme (IPA-ADRION00406).
